Let me tell you a story.

I wanted to spend today’s post talking about cover and how much cover brings about the most attraction, but I struck a stone on my way out the gate. This is the story of how I resolved my problem.

They say that covering something makes a man curious about what’s under. On this I have to agree.

But how much cover is most enticing?

I know some who imagine the allure of burqas, but I cannot see their allure. Complete cover does not entice.

I know some who imagine the allure of hijabs, and with this I can agree. Enough shows to make one curious, and it does indeed tempt the soul.

But neither of these gives the stimulation of a swimsuit. Covering, while still baring, is what sets my heart on fire.

However, as a swimsuit covers less than daily wear, we cannot strictly call it “cover”—it is a lack of cover. My intention was to write a post about cover. If it were a post about a lack of cover, I would perhaps discuss the merits of a swimsuit over total nudity.

For days, I pondered how to resolve this issue. The allure of a swimsuit, but covered. What could provide such stimulation?

Divine revelation came in the form of the angel Azuki Azusa. We can only imagine that it was the will of the goddess Azuki Azusa that I received this revelation. All praise and glory and honor is yours, almighty Azuki Azusa, forever and ever.

I was approaching the concept of cover in the wrong way. I had considered cover as a set form of clothing, while in fact, cover also arises from the layering of clothing. The solution must arise from placing one article of clothing over another, not from the amount of cover relative to daily wear! The answer was simple: A bikini under a light jacket!

The combination of two different forms of fashion, a swimsuit to expose the skin to the sun and a jacket to protect from the elements—perfect! It is not the cover itself, but the knowledge that beneath the cover is something which will set your heart and soul ablaze with passion!

Of course, many variations on this are possible. A towel, for instance, to replace the light jacket. The jacket may have a hood or no hood.

A hood is good. A hood allows for cover of the head along with the swimsuit. An oversized hood would be even better, one which starts from the mid-chest region. And with tassles on a drawn adjustment string. Light blue. Oh, how glorious!

As for the swimsuit, I think a red triangle-top bikini would be best. One with white trimming to further accentuate the bikini against beautiful, fair skin.

Wait, is that not what Azuki Azusa is wearing? Ah, Azuki Azusa truly is best girl!

Now, let’s talk about earlobes.

Earlobes also come in many forms. Some are free, while others are attached. Some flow as extensions to the ear’s outer ridge, the ridge flattening before the main body of the lobe, while others have a bump terminating the outer ridge, and the bump rolls slowly into the lobe. Some are pierced, while others are not.

Personally, I find earlobes that are attached, but have a slight rut between the head and the lobe, flow as extensions to the ear’s outer ridge, and are unpierced, to be particularly attractive. I find that they have a charm like a gentle, flowing landscape.

Pierced ears are wrong in my mind. Screwback and magnetic earrings don’t have the same flavor as studs and other earrings, but the purpose of the earring is to accentuate the ears. Screwback and magnetic earrings, when worn properly, can be just as effective as any stud. What’s more, even thinking of breaking the natural flow of a beautiful landscape is blasphemy. As such, I am not a fan of earrings in general.

But why the rut? If flow is so important, why not a full attachment? Well, the rut makes the earlobe seem more soft and squishy. Like cushions filled with the lightest down, soft and squishy. The perfect compromise between free and attached earlobes. Soft and squishy.

Yes, I understand that I upset many of you, who thought I was a free man or an attached man. Some of you may hold a grudge to know that I sit on the fence in this eternal debate. But sitting on the fence does not necessarily give you a pain in the ass: Just imagine an earlobe that is attached, but has a slight rut between the head and the lobe, flowing as an extension to the ear’s outer ridge, and is unpierced. Doesn’t it look soft and squishy? Doesn’t it make you want to touch it, rub it, pinch it, kiss it, and bite it toothlessly? Admit it, you do.

You don’t? Imagine harder. You have the potential to see the charm of earlobes that are attached, but have a slight rut between the head and the lobe, flow as extensions to the ear’s outer ridge, and are unpierced. You can do it. I believe in you.

Yes, that’s right, friends. I believe in you.

Imagine it in detail. Look over its every nook and cranny, feel the slight reflective asymmetry caused by the curvature of that back, put your finger into that belly button.

Isn’t it exciting? Doesn’t it set your heart and soul on fire? Don’t you want to pat, rub, bury your face in, and lick it? Viva, small, soft bellies with innies and slightly visible scoliosis (C-shaped, less than a three-degree angle at the vertex formed by the tangents of the ends of the spine)!

If it doesn’t, then, well, I respect your opinion. I’m sure there’s some aesthetic value to washboard abs and landwhale stomachs. I can’t see it, and probably never will. But I’m sure you can see the beauty of small, soft bellies with innies and slightly visible scoliosis (C-shaped, less than a three-degree angle at the vertex formed by the tangents of the ends of the spine). One day, you’ll see the light.

Some Sad News

Dear friends and fans of rori,

It is our deepest regret that our fansub group, which has somehow survived one year and three months, will be disbanding today, April 1, 2013, due to unresolvable differences between the members. For those curious of the details regarding our sudden disbandment, please read beyond the fold. If the typical fotc blogging (such as the Oreshura 13 and Michi Random posts) is too long for you to read, I hope you read up to the fold.

Fortunately, this comes when we have reached an appropriate stopping point at the end of the 2013 winter season. It is thus our utmost joy to say that we have dropped no shows. We plan to release batches for shows we have completed before we completely die out, but this is subject to change at any time.

Thank you once again, kind donators, for providing us with much needed financial assistance in keeping our server. It was invaluable to our encoding and serving capabilities. We are truly sorry that we could not make your kindness count for more than the few months we survived with your assistance.

Thank you for all your support. We would not have come this far without you.

Shakespeare once wrote,

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts.

While he wrote this in reference to aging and the stages of a man’s life, it applies to us in many more ways. What parts do we really play in our lives?

How we act depends strongly upon who we are with. With our teachers, we may act the diligent student or the troublemaker. With our business partners, we may act the confident, can-do professional.

Whoever we are with, we are still ourselves, but we consider our behavior different from our behavior in some natural state. This invites the question, What is our natural state? Is it how we are with our families? No, there are things I would do and feel more natural with my friends which I would not do with my family. Is it how we are with our friends? I highly doubt that as well, as it also works the other way.

The fact of the matter is, we play different parts with different people. We take on different roles depending on our relation to others.

The reverse is also true. To others, we play a certain part in their lives, with a certain personality and familiarity. Each person in someone else’s life fills a different role. We may play our part in relation to others specifically to fill the role others expect us to fill. And that part may be set by how they first perceive us.

But therein lies a problem. By admitting that we play different parts for different people, or that we play our part to fill a role for someone, we admit that we are constantly acting. We are acting out our own person, many parts in the same—we are all samefags and will remain samefags so long as we live.

This invites another question: How can we change the role we play? Adopting a new role immediately is impossible—others expect us to play a certain role. We must change our roles slowly. We must move ourselves into a position from which we may enter our new role with others’ approval.

But what is this position? Is it not itself a different role from what we play now? Then we must move into a position to enter it. How do we approach it at all? Is it even possible?

A paradox indeed.

Alas, all we really can ask is, What would happen if tomorrow I tried being more than what I am to you now?
